...because I just closed on it on Monday. Whew! When I signed the agreement in June, I never thought it would take 4 months, 2 tries on the survey (engine wouldn't start on 1st try), and much international intrigue (seller was Canadian, and boat was registered in Canada). Anyway, it's a BEAUTIFUL boat, and fast! I'm looking forward to having a lot of fun and adventure on her. BTW, my interest in the H54 began here, at HOW. I read an article asking what's up with the H54, why so moderately priced, became intrigued, did some research, then found one boat (this one) for sale, flew down to Ft. Lauderdale to look at her, and the rest is history. Since this all was done mostly on impulse, I've named her "Impulse". Eric Lorgus s/v Impulse

Congrats Eric; Way to Go!; See you in S. Pacific?

Eric, That's a lot of boat, in many ways! However, I've only heard good things about the Hunter 54. Keep me posted, please about your experiences and plans. BTW, I did not realize you were located in Havre de Grace. That is were I first was introduced to Hunter Legends when Nelleke and I ended up becoming liveaboards on Bob Buchanan's Legend 33.5 "Windtryst" (in the City Marina) during the summers of 1990 and 1991, while I was doing a faculty fellowship at Aberdeen Proving Ground. GHavre de Grace is a great place to live! However, the summers are pretty tough on the body's AC system (as well as on the boat's). Also, we learned a lot more about thunderstorms than we ever wanted to know and were, in fact, hit by lightning twice.... Regards, Flying Dutchman

Congrats!

That's one big ol' boat you have now! We'll have to get FYC to take the 54 off their ad, but you get to keep the boat anyway. :) Enjoy!

I keep out P42 at Tidewater. I was once on a 54 in Seattle. Great boat. Are you going to keep her at the Head of the Bay? I would love to see her. JTramm9698@aol.com
