PG Pump out Boat

I used the Punta Gorda Free :dance::danceump Out for the first time today and what a great service here in Punta Gorda Florida.
They come out of Laishly Marina on Mondays and Thurdays and Free:dance::dance: and start out at Gilchrest Park at 10:00 am and every hour all over Charlotte Harbor locations.
The boat is a nice new boat and just tell operator where your pump out outlet
is and he does the rest and it is a nice new super sucker that leaves your
holding tank very empty really fast.
It is not like other pump outs at marina's that work hard and slow and doesn't
empty the holding tank very well.

Thanks for the great tip! Did you just anchor and wait for them to come to you or are they anchored and waiting for you to come alongside them?

Pump out

I had called them ahead of time and they than added me to the list and I think
you can hail the marina or pump out boat on 16.
I will get more info and up date here for sure.
I am not sure but will check it out and think the $$$$ came from some kind of grant but will check and see for a up date.
When living up in NY the town's got federal grant $$$$ and really nice new
pump out boats and because Long island,NY is so busy the boats were out pretty much every day and you would hail on 16 and they would come to you.
I remember one time on a weekend non stop boaters were hailing and it was
late in the day when I got pumped out and had to recall many times.
Here in PG they only pump out on Mondays & Thursdays at certain locations at certain times,Fisherman's Village Marina and Burnt Store Marina also pump out
and if you buy fuel the pump out is free.

Here in SE Connecticut, we have a free pump-out service that is federally funded. Nice boat, great crew, and you don't need to be there. Call in by VHF, phone or schedule online with their App. Off course always leave a tip for the operators.

You can hail SS Clearhead on channel 16 on Mon or Thur for Pumpout but I recommend calling the marina as mentioned in my blog. A Pumpout boat was required by Fl DEP to get permission for a mooring field. The Pumpout boat comes to your anchored boat & is free.

As bill suggested good idea to call Laishly marina on Monday or Thursday
ahead of time and anchor at the location named for the time on the schedule.
