Eight years old and still chasing a persistant leak around my 1995 H29.5....Last season leak appeared in v-berth, which seemed to be entering through one of the stanchions..reseated, and leak continues.Leak was limited to the v-berth area, and closer examination suggested water may actually be entering the boat through the hole drilled into the toe-rail to receive the male-end of the anchor locking pin. Has anyone else experienced this problem? It appears (strange as this may seem) that water is entering this area (which is drilled across the layers of fibreglass at this point) and then exiting through a pin-hole on the inside of the fibreglass around 36" aft of this point.Does anyone have a solution to sealing the anchor pin retention are in a more suitable manner.Whilst we are on the topic, and assuming I have to go deeper to fix the problem, can the rub-rail be removed, reseated and recaulked by the enthusiastic amateur? Thanks for any thoughts!
