I just drove through the night (Friday, Ontario to PEI ) with my wife and 5 year old daughter. Squeaky (daughter) woke up once in Eastern Quebec and told me she just saw a shooting star.
I told her she could watch out for them all night long if she wanted to stay up with me. She soon fell back asleep. Too bad, I got to see a few more while driving.
We had a great drive in our new car. Cum-fey and Zippy!

The Admiral woke me up at 0300 last night and said "Grab your pillow." We went out and threw a blanket on the back porch and watched for an hour or so. After an hour, my old bones were asking where the tempurpedic was. Saw quite a few meteors. Mostly faint and short runs but a few were big and bright.
Next time tho, I'm dragging the futon pad out there first.
In South Jersey we saw 3 good bright ones and a couple faint ones in about 45 mins.
Planned to motor out into the bay and anchor but things got in the way.
Going to try again Tues night.
