Just joined the forum in hopes to find great information regarding keeping my (soon to be mine) 1984 Hunter 25.5 in the best condition I can. I will be sailing her in the Chesapeake Bay out of the Sassafrass River. So far reading all the posts, it seems the group has a wealth of experience which I shall take full advantage. In return I will give you all lots of questions and much to laugh about.

Deep Keel. Boat is in great shape and has lots of goodies. Roller Furler, Bimini, needed instruments and electronic devices. 3 sails: Main, 150 Genoa and A symetrical Spinnaker. Pushed with a 2 stroke 9.9 Evinrude ('04). This will be my first boat as an owner. Looking to spend lots of time on her. Interior is in good condition. Hull cleaned, worked on and painted this spring.

I read talk of the "Admiral"? Is this another name for "She Who Has To Be Obeyed"?
I bought mine a hat that says " First and Only Mate" That helped me asking to incorporate the slip and insurance fees into our household budget!

You have figured it out early on. Good for you! Now teach her well, no yelling, let her think she is in charge. :)

That "No Yelling" rule even (especially) applies to boat docking.
