Hi: I have a Prima 50 in my 400 that seems to run cool. Temp only gets up to 50 degrees C by the gage or tank temp and maybe 60 degrees C on the head when it should run at 90. Have done all the thermostat stuff including checking and changing. Only 700 hrs on engine. Am at a loss why I can't get temp up. Any ideas?

Brad,

My first guess would be that you have a 140F thermostat in. Or the intake water is so cold it won't allow the coolant heat. Pat McCartin Inland Marine Diesel Atlanta, GA
