Perkins M20 cruising RPM and maximum RPM

I just bought a 1994 Catalina 270 with the Perkins M20 diesel. What is the recommended cruising RPM and maximum RPM for this motor? Craig.

We also have a 94 270- great boat! My manual is on the boat and I wont be down there till this weekend. I typically can cruise at 2000 rpm and get about 5kts. At 100% throttle we get 6kts w/o wind or tide. Do you have the LE version? Fin or Wing? Ken javaken@aol.com
