I'm interested in a Capri 22 for daysailing and occasional handicap racing.Which keel is associated with best performance-especially to windward? Also,I've been told that there are 2 options for total sail area.Which performs best while not being too tender? As a point of info,I've been a sailor for 40 yrs,and I've sailed a J24 for the last 15 yrs.A last question is would the roller furling 135 jenny be the best option on the Capri 22? Thanks for any input-John

Capri 22

I own a Capri 18, but I've heard the deep fin keel is the best performing keel for the Capri 22. It's the most difficult to launch from a ramp, though. I have a 135 furling genny on my C-18. The furler is a CDI FF-2. I think the 135 is the best compromise headsail. If I needed better light air performance, an asym drifter would be my sail of choice. The 135 can be reefed a bit for stronger winds and still produce satisfactory performance.
