Hey, winter is almost over, the sun is shining here (and if it's here it's got be darned near everywhere), and for most of us the sailing season is just ahead. Cheer up! Have some fun! If someone writes something that irritates you, let it go. When you're at the helm, what does it matter anyway? A public service announcement from SailboatOwners.com. :) ph.

Never felt better...

... boat's in the water, absolutely no winter damage, engine started at first touch, all sorts of new toys to install. Life is good! Now if we could just get it to stop raining on the weekends... Derek

Weekends

yeah, that's the rub. Last summer was literally a washout with storms on every single holiday weekend and most others. The same cycle seems to be in place this year. Other than that, boat is in commission, been out a few times and thabnk God for the cabin heater.

Anyday on the Boat

Rain or Shine is better than a day at work!!!!

I just stood up too...

...and took a picture of a wall calendar in my office. Wow, with a view like that how can anyone work? And what's with this Gregory-the-allegedly-funny guy. Send him to a powerboat Web site.

I'm in Withdrawals..............................

I'm not racing this year. I don't own a boat. The rental marina doesn't open for a couple of weeks. And there is a senior VP at work that likes to tell me all about his new J42 that he and his wife will be cruising on this summer about a mile from our old slip. I could crack any second..... Great Country and Hey, Phil...

..what's that pilot house thingie with the big bow in your pix? I'm feeling GREAT! Just finished a three-week, twelve-state roadie (in our Subaru) and I can tell you that we live in a really beautiful and bountiful country. Also visited Steve Dion at his garden-like marina in the NorCal delta. However, lake levels are way down all over the West, so some will be having a challenge staying off the muck I guess. Back to boating and good cheer! Rick D.

Saturna 33 pilothouse

Rick - FYI, that's a Saturna 33 pilothouse in Phil's photo. Interesting boat; great for the NW with inside steering. Trevor

I SECOND THAT!!

Wish people would just relax, and enjoy the sail...some people have NO sense of humor whatsoever!! What a way to go through life!!

It was a LONG winter

but the last couple of weeks have been beautiful in Virginia, and the wait was worth it.

Hey Phil...it would seem....

that you surely have earned your money these past few days (if, in fact, you are being paid to manage this site). I salute you. I myself have been a bit stressed about some of the responses, but, I have to say, spending a few days on my boat has revitalized me. I do enjoy this site immensely... Just saying keep up the good work, and stay positive...I think a lot of people are a little on edge (for a lot of us it was a pretty harsh winter)... For me, spending some time on my boat makes it all go away...FAIR WINDS!!

Sick of sailing......

Not!!!!!! Have only had 8 or 10 bad weekends since last May. Since warm weather and sailing go hand in hand, I'm greatful to be blessed, and living in Arizona.
