Don't hit the USS Massachusetts going into Pensacola Pass as my friend did. It is almost awash at low tide.

The wreck of the USS Massachusetts--BB-2 is located 1.5 nautical miles south-southwest of Pensacola Pass. It lies in 26-30 ft. of water within the Fort Pickens State Aquatic Preserve, administered by the Florida Department of Natural Resources. There are special diving instructions at this wreck site regarding anchoring and diving equipment and a prohibition against penetrating the hull. The shipwreck is located within a Florida Underwater Archaeological Preserve, and a laminated underwater guide is available from local dive shops. The preserve is open to the public year round, free of charge.

Lots of great places around.. if your boat is relatively shallow draft, there is all kinds of places in the Bay and especially west of there along the intercoastal, toward Wolf Bay. There is a great anchorage just inside the mouth of Pensacola Bay on the east side kinda enclosed by an island where an old fort, Ft. McRee, was.. East just inside the bay mouth along the Intercoastal you can get to Navarre beach, Santa Rosa Island.. a great little Tiki bar there at the south, west foot of the 399 bridge. Inside the bay, Bayou Chicot has marinas and yards.. and a couple of restaurants.. There was a little place named The Oar House; just east of the 292 bridge on the north side of the bayou. Distances can be pretty long so do some trip planning..
Lots of info in the crusing guides.. Some folks from around there will chime in with some better info..
