About four seasons ago I re-stained the wood below. At present I oil it with Old English Oil. It looks great but the oil soaks up and the shine goes away, the finish is great and looks rich. I'd like to seal the wood but I'm not interested in using a varnish or a brush. (too many small and hard to get at areas for a brush) anybody know of a sealer that can be applied via rag? Like applying with a stain rag. Any other suggestions will be welcome also. I have no objections to varnish, I just don't want to use a brush.
Thanks,
Pelicanj

Minwax markets a "Wipe On Poly"urethane. Has the look of hand rubbed furniture with the protection of Polyurethane. Use a rag to wipe on.
I've used it for furniture with favorable results.

FYI: polyurethanes are okay if you use them where they won't be in direct sun. In direct sun, moisture from the wood evaporates under the polyurethane skin and makes a "bubble" and in a season or two, you have to sand and do over.
