Anyone recognize this manufacturer, I recall seeing the MH logo but can't pull it out of what remains of my addled brain!

Looks a lot like their current product; if that was original to the boat, it would be 39 years old..

Wasn't there a "Harrell Merriman" or some such? Or was it Merrill Harriman?

There's also a supplier called "Marine Hardware" out there.

There used to be a Marriman Marine years ago but now long gone. That pelican hook can still be found, or at least a very close match, it just won't have the initials on it. Hayn is a good place to look.

Merriman/Holbrook . Another great company that went under because they didn't sell planned obsolescent equipment.
And sorry, that is not their logo.
