So I was doing a little waxing on the boat today, when I went to pull open the pelican hook on my lifelines the little spring actuated pin popped out and of course didn't land on the dock. Oh well, I'll just pick one up from west marine when I finish. Well I finished went to west marine, HOLY COW! A new pelican hook is $38! So being stubborn I didn't buy it. Does anyone know where I could order the little pin? The rest of the hook is fine and the only reason the pin popped loose is because the tassle ring came off. If I could get the pin I think I can fix it. If not, another $38 dollars of beer money wasted. Thanks in advance.

call manufacturer

See if the manufacturer's name is on the hook, and do a search on the web to find out how to contact them. They may be able to provide the part(s) you need. In addition to the pin, you'll need a spring.

Kits available

I had a similar problem except it was the spring that was lost. My local chandler (Genco) stocked a kit that contained a new pin, spring and snapring. Total cost- $5.95 (canandian, so about $4 US).
