Hi, Peggy. I am interested in purchasing your book, but I am reluctant to give a credit card number on the net. Is there a phone number to call to make the purchase, or should I order it from the local Border's? Please advise. By the way your responses to questions and your advice are extremely helpful. Hi Alice, I, too, used to feel that way. Then I started purchasing items. Now I buy Xmas, etc., over the net and never have had a problem. And now I do all my banking and bill pay online.I was quite the skepticAlan

I echo Alan's response. One thing you could consider is getting a low balance credit card that you use solely for internet purchases. That way if anyone gets your number you'll be alerted before any huge purchase takes place. Similarly, MBNA Platinum Visa actually has a service that allows you to set up a sub-account for web purchases and you cap the amount. However, I do neither and so far so good! BTW, I bought Peggy's book!

Net is safer than a cell or cordless phone

I also buy plane tickets and other things from ESTABLISHED web vendors and pay all my bills online...have for years with no problems.However, if you're not quite "ready for prime time" yet, you can call to order it. At the very bottom of the home page here you'll find a "contact" button...click on it and scroll to find the phone number to call for "customer service."
