and I went ahead and installed a new toilet along with the vented loops.Yes, in spite of your advice, [ducks and runs for cover] I put in another cheap Jabsco.... go ahead, I can take it!I did it because it was on 40% off, plus West Marine never put a date on my New Boater discount card and the same clerks are still honoring it, so I got another 10%, which made the toilet cost about $87. I'm also selling the boat in 2 years and figure I can keep it clean and running for that long. And the holes fit! That counts for something. Here's a picture, 2 more follow. I'm interested in your opinion. (I know the double hose clamps are overkill on most of those hoses, but I did put them on in opposite directions and 1 is only partially tightened.)I also discovered (through your bucket test, not my 'clear hose' test) that the pump is a lot more powerful than I had given it credit for. It does pump most of the water over the 4 foot loop I put in.1 question: Should I be concerned about the coating of grey matter on the inside of the discharge hose? It's about 1/8" thick and not adhered very tightly. I suppose that is what will eventually permeate the hose and cause it to need replacement. Thanks for all your help. I'm sure I will be bothering you again..... keep the tylenol handy!!And hang in there.... you are a great resource to all of us out here!Cheers,Bobs/v X SAIL R 8
