Hi Jay,Seems like you might have just gotten a new boat, from some of the posts- if so, congrats!If your bottom has a ton of paint on it from Previous Owner(s), stripping it now, while you are motivated is a great idea. Lots of options, the most effective I've found is coarse sandpaper on a 7" sander with a good vacuum set-up (shop-vac with filter cover for ease of use).Once you get it done- Don't make the same mistake. Paint when the ablative starts to disappear in a couple of places, not just because it's spring.Oh, and Hey Jim... silly him for posting a question. I would guess all questions have been asked here-- so shut the board down and make it a database... if you don't have the time or energy to help a guy out, go read scuttlebutt or something.B
