Pedistal guard for H27

My 1980 Hunter 27 has a factory installed (I think)"Specialty Yacht Co." pedistal.Does anyone know if an Edison #662-45 pedistal guard can be installed easily.Thank you.

Try Porte Des Voyageurs(?) Independence, Missouri. 816-833-3776. They have several pedestals guards and brackets for yacht specialy aka Merriman. A couple of sizes so have some measurements. Hope they work out for you..

Edson worked for me

I have a 1985 Hunter 31 which did not have a pedestal guard at all. My pedestal was also made by Yacht Specialties. They are now out of business. I spoke to the Edson rep at a boat show and the Edson part worked fine on my boat. I think that the only difference may be the bolt hole location on the top plate. Your mechanic can easily drill holes where needed, as was done on my boat. Good luck and let me know.
