Anyone have ideas and/or plans for retractable tables in the cockpit which attach to a pedestal I have a Hunter 34 to be specific. I am remodeling the salon a bit and thinking about the cockpit now. Also any place to buy the hardware to mount one?
Steve- the table we got does connect to the pedastal, and that is its main support. But, when folded out for use, there is a drop down leg for support of the end closest to the companionway. The table is heavy, I don't think the main piece could be self-supporting and still be sturdy... The table top has two leaves that fold out to port and starboard to make it wider. They are self supporting.
Ray I purchased a folding cockpit table for my 1979 Hunter 30' from Teakflex products for $185.00. This folds down when not in use and uses a sliding rod attached to the pedastall for support. Table looks great and works great. If you would like to see what mine looks like, send me your e-mail address and I will forward back with jpeg attachtment.
