My 1978 O'day 30 has a single lever engine control for the Yanmar engine. It's mounted near the deck and off to the side. I would like to install an engine control on the pedestal. I have been told the pedestal is an Edson. Can anyone provide any information about the best way to do that and how it has worked out for you?
