Hi...anyone know which size pedestal guard I can use and where I can get one at a good price? I have a 1980 Hunter 30 with factory wheel (not sure of size). Thanks for your time....happy sailing!

Replacement?

Are you looking for a cheap replacement because yours is missing/broken? I have the original one-inch stainless helm guard that fits the Edson pedestal. It probably has some extra holes where the folding table brackets were attached. It is yours cheap. I had a taller offset helm guard made for my H37C. It was made by TIQ for about $100. See Related Link.

Re: Pedestal Guard

Thanks for the response. Can you send me a picure and he size (height, width)? No, this isn't a replacement, I would be installing it new.

Edson?

You do not mention if you have an Edson pedestal. The guard bar requires a plate on the pedestal that is 9.5 inches center to center. It also requires two mounts bolted to the sole. You can see these on the Edson website(Related Link). My guard is 45 inches high and one inch dia. stainless. You can write me from the Owner's Directory and I can provide a picture.

Incidentally,

The company name is spelled E-D-S-O-N. There is usually a part or two available on ebay. If not today, then tomorrow for certain.
