Hello everyone
trying to find out the exact inner diameter measurement of the pedestal guard plate on my 1984 Hunter 31knowing that the guard plate is 9.5 Wide

An exact inner diameter? You'd have to measure it. The real kicker here is the word "exact" - how precise do you need?

Where did you get that picture? Is it your part? It looks like a cast part which means there would be measurable differences between parts and it is likely not round to a high degree of precision.

You need to clarify what you mean by exact.

Your best bet may be to contact Edson and see what the can offer.

I pulled this spec sheet up on their site, but I can’t verify that it is for your exact boat…

The pedestal originally installed by Hunter on that boat was made by Merriman. They've been out of business for many years but some pieces may be interchangeable with Edson.stuff. Measure carefully indeed.
