Hi - I have a 2000 Hunter 410. Upgrading GPS to C90W. I would like to install navpod where grab handle is on helm [forward]. Found this (and many other) pictures of Hunter's who have found a guard to fit. Navpod's 57" is way too tall. Looking for 12-16" or so. Please take a look at the photo, and if you could guide me where I can purchase this type of guard. Grateful to your answers. Thank you. /paul:)

I'm not sure what will work for you. But, don't forget you can easily cut the grab handle tubing with a tube cutter. Don't get to locked in on the height as it's easily shorted which I did a few years ago. I couldn't see over the chartplotter so I shortened the tubes (at the connection joint) by 2". Works great now.

On my 410 I avoided putting anything up high.

Hopefully I've attached two photos showing how I arranged my 410 instruments. I had the Yanmar panel dropped as low down as it would go, to the point of a small notch in the front edge of the lift out drink tray. That made room for an E-80 dead center, ST60 wind and ST60 combo speed/depth displays on the left and the ram-mike on the right. On the lower left front is the autohelm just behind the wheel. That keeps the line of sight over the cabin top clear. Just an alternate idea to consider.

However, looking at your picture again your space looks smaller. Did they increase the size of the instrument panel surface between 2000 and 2002?
