Pearson Wanderer

I'm in the market for a Pearson Wanderer. Would like to hear anything that pertains to the boat -- pros and cons. Anything that I should be checking. I have experience sailing and working on Alberg 30's and 35's.

Also, if there are any boats in good shape that are not listed in the normal web sites, would appreciate knowing about them.

Hi John:

I found my Wanderer purely by chance last year (I was looking for an Alberg 30). The boat needed work but I know where to get help for the thiings I can't handle myself.

A few things I've learned so far:
1) Wanderers are rare; only two or three others here at pearsonowners.com.
2) They look like a smaller version of the Pearson 35, which is highly rated
3) Everybody seems to be working on their wanderers
4) They are surprisingly fast and sail well with the centerboard up.

We have just listed our 1966 Pearson Wanderer on Craigs list. Great boat, very fast!! We are moving up to a Pearson 35. Call 757-784-3921 for questions.
