This fall I purchase a Pearson Wanderer hull number 16. The layout cabin layout is different than the ones on Sailboat data .com. My boat has a navigation station on the portside instead of a berth and a sink on the starboard side of the head. Overall the boat is in good shape. The center board cable is frayed and needs replacement. I plan on a haul out this spring and replace the cable before it breaks. The coaming has been sanded down to ½ or so thickness. I have purchase the teak for that project. I have two questions for any Wanderer owners. I plan on using the old cable to put the new cable through tube. I plan taping the two cables together. Let me if there might be better way. On the matter of the coaming, from what I can see, the coaming is held in place with screws to the side of the cockpit and cabin. The blocks holding the winches are screw to the coaming and bolt to the deck. This there anything else holding beside bedding compound the coamings in place.
