Pearson Vanguard Lifeline Stanchions

I am looking to find lifeline stanchions which were used on Pearson Vanguards. I have also seen these on Pearson Tritons and Alberg 35's from the early to late 1960s. I am interested in the stainless steel version not the chromed bronze type. I would particularly like to find the set made up as a "gate". If you think you could help maybe we could trade photos of what we are talking about. The stanchions at the "gate" are the same as the others but with the addition of a 3/4 inch tube as a brace.

When I joined this group I was not aware of the confrontational nature of the members.
I am going to post photos of the stanchions I'm looking for but I don't have access to them at this time.
In the mean time, what is your interest in this thread? Do you have stanchions?

usually when someone is new it is best to learn the customs of the new surroundings......you will find that everyone here is very helpful ...you will also find that even though that emacon may seem to you a little abrupt to you it was provided by the people who own this site and in no way was meant to be abrasive ...you will also find that there is a gear for sale section on here to post your for sale or wanted items.....we all also hope you find what you are looking for.....and as i point this out to you i may get banned or suspended for doing so......i hope this will help you help your self...good luck in your search.......

Don't know if your Pearson had the same as mine but I did find one of our gate. The base is separate from the upright making shrinking easier.

If parts were stamped with whatever boat they came off of, life would be alot easier. But, yes, I have stanchions I took off my boat when I upgraded, but I guess now I'll never know if they are the same as what you are looking for.

The post about "What is this?", the guy posted a picture of his (maybe a pole chock?). If I know what I'm looking for, I print it out and stop by Bacons to see if they have some in the back room- as I will for the chock, but now not the stanchions since I don't know what I'd be looking for.

Good luck with your search. The Lord helps those who help themselves. :D

Thanks for the input. I have now posted some pics of the stanchion I'm looking for and they should look familiar to some mid-sixties Pearson owners.

If you cannot find them here try Minnesota yacht surplus in Costa Mesa California. Garhauer Marine can also customize something too.
