I recently inherited a Pearson Resolute from my Dad...I've been sailing this boat w/him for 30+years. Just a couple of questions since he's not here to ask--the hull above the waterline is pitted. Any suggestions about fixing this (gelcoat?) to match the color of the boat(light blue). Also, still using original sails..may need a new/used pair. Any ideas where we could get them? Lastly, tips about stepping the mast? :{ THanks!Diane

Gel coat- sails- step mast

1. Gel coat You will never match the color of the original 30 Gel coat The easiest way out: Fill the pitmarks with a product like marine tex or similar.Sand smooth and paint the boat with a brush using an epoxy paint made for this purpose 2. On the sails try Atlantic sail traders in Sarasota FL or Bacon Associates in Annapolis MD they bothe sell used sails. If you have no luck there your probably going to have to get new sails 3. If the mast has a tabernacle on the step you and a friend can probably attach it and pull it up. If it dosent or steps through the deck your going to have to use a boat yard with a crane Good Luck Bob Fox 1975 p26w #76 whitecap marblehead ma
