I'm new to the Pearson family. Are any parts still available for this model and where to I look for them? I'm specifically looking for rudder washers and bearings. Pearson, in their drawings, called them P-36 Rudder Washer & Bearings. Does that mean they are from a Pearson 36. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WEST system repair for Pearson rudder bearing
Do a websearch for ..... Pearson + "rudder bearings". Will lead you to the P26 Assoc. website that fully describes how to repair the bearings using WEST system carbon filled epoxy. Will last many times longer than simply replacing with the crappy DELRIN bearings. If you do replace or repair the bearings be SURE that you fully POLISH the shaft to a mirror polish --- and then the shaft wont abrade the soft bearings so fast. Use a high speed buffing wheel and "Tripoli" polishing compound .... a special polishing compound for stainless steel, etc.
