How many Pearson manufactured odays are there out there? I feel like an orphan. Of course, other oday owners feel like an orphan, but at least they have each other to talk to about their boats. How about Pearson Oday owners.

O'Day Pearson Yacht Corp.

The boat i just bought is an O'Day 37, even on the survey it has the builder listed as O'Day Pearson Yacht Corp. from Assonet MA. i've talked with my Pearson owner friends and that isnt the same plant the Pearsojns are made at and O'Day must have been an "offshoot" of the Pearson company.??? This doesnt bother me any i like both lines of boats howie

Lear Siegler Marine made O'Days also

John, I know that in 1986 Lear Siegler Marine made the Oday 272 and probably other models as well. I'll bet someone out there knows the history of the company and can tell us when and how O'Day moved from one parent company to another until production stopped altogether. The molds for the 272, 302 and 322 are currently owned by a Japanese company who may(?) be manufacturing those models again. Tom

1991 Pearson Built O'Day 290

My 1991 290 was built by Pearson, and I sure feel like an orphan. This is the first reference, or person I have heard from that has a Pearson built O'Day. She's a fine boat, but Pearson scrimped on some of the construction....teak toe rails are not thru-bolted, simply screwed in from below deck and prone to leak and difficult to re-bed. Also lots of general cosmetic crazing. I do love her though....
