lived on it for two years, then got off this last winter, as floating in a marina in the Pacific NW is not a warm cozy thing to do in a boat without insulation. Also, after two years, was ready for getting back on land to the lavish world of flush toilets and refrigerators that open from the front.
Had a wonderful cruise summer of 2011 through the Inside Passage in Canada, and sailed all over Puget Sound with this marvelous vessel from August 2010 to September 2011. She has set in marinas since then, with only occasional forays out onto the waters around Bremerton, WA.
Now trying to keep this beautiful boat from falling apart. Being female and in the older generation, my boat repair skills are pretty lame. If I had no other interests, I could learn, but I have a grand piano and an art studio that pretty much suck up all my time. My special other, a piano designer, is helping me keep this baby afloat. At least he knows what to do with basic tools and how to polish up woodwork and bright work with flair. He just doesn't know anymore about diesel engines than I do.
Will likely sell her this season, but will need all the free advice I can get to put her into Bristol condition. Looking forward to any advice and help in this regard. In the meantime, I'm going to take this lovely lady out for as many sails as I can before we part ways. It will be the saddest day of my boat ownership when she sells.
