Considering the purchase of a 37-2. Have arranged for a survey and will potentially commit of the survey comes back favorably. Anything I should look out for? Are there other P37-2 Oweners on this forum?

Pearsons of that era are notorious for wet decks, due to the use of gaskets on deck hardware instead of bedding sealant or tape.
The gaskets disintegrated in short order, exposing the internal deck wood to sea and rain water, and rot.
It's a sore spot on what is otherwise a fleet of very good boats. Many a Pearson has had the decks ripped out and repaired.
Check if the decks are sound, and that the hardware has been properly bedded.

Can't speak to the 37-2, but I like my 37. Replaced the core on 7 stanchions during first winter refit. Last summer, had to replace the core in the cockpit sole. Looking at replacing the core at the chain plates this winter when the chain plates get rebedded.

I ran into this type of issue on a 39-2 I was looking at. I thought it was related to crazing along the toe rail. Good to know.

The 37-1 is a whole different animal. Looked at one in SF this spring while visiting. Fast boat but too deep for my sailing area.
