I am asking here as I suspect Pearson owners might be prejudiced. We wanted a boat a little more rugged than a Catalina 30 but not a true heavyweight blue water cruiser. The 4.5' draft was important. Any thoughts or opinions rational or not will be considered. Thanks

Shold be fine

I wouldn't hesitate to take mine to the Bahamas. Lots of storage and good ventilation. One tough boat also. There are some week points but nothing of concern unless you want a true blue water boat. Try for one with the bow water tank and shower option which should give you about 100 gal. water storage.

Assuming decent weather, this should be no problem for the boat. Whether the captain is up to it is the more important question.
