Love My P323

Mine is a 1980. Have a problem with engine overheating too. We have only had ours 3 1/2 years. She was sold new by Turner Maine in Mobile Bay,Alabama. As far as I can tell she was in Mobile Bay most of her life. The original engine died and the PO replaced it with a MD11C from a saildrive. We bought her in Niceville FLorida and kept her in Mobile for almost a year and then in Panama city for almost two years. She is now on Wheeler Lake in Northern Alabama. We will probably move her back to the coast within a year or so. Motoring about 500 miles up the Tenn-Tom and Tennessee river was a trip. went through about 20 locks. The last time at sea was an overnight sail from Panama City to Pensacola Florida. The wind was about 15-20 kts with whitecaps most of the night. Unfortunately the wind slowly went to the west so that by early morning we were beating into the wind and finally gave up and motored the last 10 miles or so. If the wind had just stayed out of the south it would have been a fantastic sail. But with a contrary current it would have taken hours to make Pensacola sailing into the wind.
