I lost the hatch for my Pearson 30 sailboat year 1975. Any ideas on how I can find one or a replacement? Carlos Flores

a couple of options for hatch replacement

there is a website for hurricane damaged boats, you might be able to find it with a google search - hurricane sailboats - i will see if i can find it. option #2 find your boat on E- bay, preferably one that is hurt, contact the owner and see if they will sell you any parts. #3 Boat Works winter 06/07 has an article on installing a new forehatch. In that particular article they acquired a custom made hatch from Mariners Hardware, www.marinershardware.com 877-765-0880 offers custom made plexiglas hatches with powder coated metal or stainless parts. Option #4 contact atkinshoyle, com, beckson.com, pompanette.com(bowmar), webasto.com,csi-composites.com, plastimousa.com, jimblackinc.com, lewmar.com, maxwellmarine.com, taylormadeproducts.com, scandvik.com, maxwellmarine.com, White Water Marine Hardware (Florida) 800-572-8871. Hopefully someone will have something on the shelf that will suit your needs. Might be a good time for that custom upgrade.

We've got a new Lewmar hatch

We replaced the hatch on our Pearson 30 with a nice low-profile Lewmar Hatch. Don't remember the exact dimensions, but they come in a bunch of sizes and it fit right out of the box. Looks nice, and laying in the V-berth, you can see stars through the smoky-colored hatch. Google is your friend.
