Anyone have a pattern for making a pedestal/wheel cover for a 27'Hunter (1980) Or for any other pedestal cover. Interested in how to cut out pieces to be sewed together. email rjkeenan@widomaker.com

Made one from scratch.

OK guys, don't ask what scratch looks like. Actually it looks like black sunbrella to match the covers already on the boat. My Edson helm has the large wheel and a table and drink holder. I made it before I installed the new autohelm. It is difficult to describe it's shape but it is form fitting with velcro, not just a bag. If you were to make two halves that fit just the wheel, rounded on top, square to the deck, with one side slotted for the wheel shaft that would be step one. Then a "box" about 12"x8" looking down from above, the length of the grab bar. One side is open and that is sewn to the back of the half with the slot. Wish I had a picture. I use velcro along the bottom so air cannot get under and lift it off. Ed(schencked@bfusa.com)
