On Monday, July 3, we finally got Patience Too off the hard. It has been a grueling six weeks of boatyard work to finish up th e motor instal, do blister repairs, and paint the bottom and the hull. She really looks good now...at least up to the deck. When we gor back to the marina, there was a crowd waiting on us to welcome us back. The universal question was, "She really looks good, now when are ya gonna do the deck?" I am afraid that that pleasure will just have to wait until fall while we try to get some sailing in the rest of the summer.

Sounds Very Familiar

Congratulations! I just went through the same thing - sandblasting and then repairing/sealing the bottom, painting the topsides, a lot of engine work, all new electrical, new cushions, new furling, etc. A very expensive and exhausting spring. Had the shake-down on 7/1 and had no issues. The one thing I didn't get to was the deck and now it sticks out. I gotta sail a little before I do another project...

Double congrats

My new to me 1986 P36-2 is still on the hard. I have completely redone my decks....pulled the balsa core out, put Nidacore in and now having the non skid replaced and repainted. Weather here on Long island was not good for top side work that can't get wet.....but alas, she is close and I hope in a few weeks she will be in. I wish they would hurry with the work as I am broke due to all the other projects I have done in the mean time. Greg
