If you do not make any port, you will not need a passport to circumnavigate the globe in a sailboat. However, you will still need other documents and permits to sail legally and safely in international waters. For example, you will need a boat registration, a port clearance, a cruising permit, and possibly a radio license. You will also need to comply with the regulations and customs of the countries you sail near or through, such as reporting your position, flying the appropriate flags, and avoiding restricted areas.
Sailing around the world without making any port is a very challenging and risky endeavor. You will need to be self-sufficient and prepared for any emergencies, such as storms, pirates, mechanical failures, or medical issues. You will also need to carry enough food, water, fuel, and spare parts for the entire voyage, which could take several months or even years. You will not be able to resupply or seek assistance from any port along the way.
If you are traveling the world on the high seas without a passport and presumably without a properly documented vessel, you would be considered a stateless person. Any navy or coast guard has the right to stop any vessel and demand to see the ship's papers and crew documents. Being stateless means you will not be protected by any government and would be subject to having your boat seized and you detained.
Landing in a country with a passport and/or checking in with the authorities would not be well received. You would likely find yourself detained in facilities that you would rather not experience until you were deported. Upon your arrival back in the US, without a passport and with unfulfilled legal obligations, you would probably find yourself detained again for illegal entry and for not having met your legal financial obligations.

This thread is offensive. I request you go some place else to seek help for hiding from your obligation of child support.
Considering the cost in time, money, thought, and just general work, to prepare for a round the world sailing challenge; getting a passport should be a relatively simple safety precaution. Easier than installing a ham radio with mast mounted antenna, and getting an operator's license. Honestly, I'd rather fill out the forms and submit a photograph to get my passport than wait for hours, in the time distortion fields they maintain inside a phone store, just to extend my plan to include international calling.
It isn't that hard and they are good for 10 years before you have to renew them.
I also wouldn't trust that simply not making land doesn't constitute setting foot on foreign soil. Remember the sailors who crossed from USVI waters to BVI waters during the covid lock down? They did not land, but they were arrested and imprisoned all the same.
