I would like to hear from other owners:
What is the fastest speed you have achieved on different points of sail? SOG
I am on freshwater so no wave surfing here but we have hit 8.4 Knots broad reaching with main and jib and can easily hit the 7.8 Knot level on any reach with enough wind. Highest speed close hauled is 7.5 with reefed Main and Jib.
I have yet to record any speeds with the asymmetrical because we don't get it out of the bag that often

I have just installed a Colligo Marine topdown furler on my passage 42 works great very easy to work and have speeds of 11 plus knts in12 knts of wind go to Colligo Marine .com best sytem on the market

Thanks for the reply,,,My UPS sail is already on a furling unit. Looks very similar to what I have and have no problems using it...Just need to take it out of the bag. How long can one leave a asymmetrical up without getting UV damage?

The numbers you shown are ok. Many factors like type of prop. Folding prop give you up to one knot at best. Do you have a in mast main furler?A regular main full batten is more performant. Do you have short keel or deep keel? Deep keel points better upwind but no faster down wind.

Thanks everyone for the replies..I guess I should have been a bit more detailed on the specifics of my boat and setup. On the plus side I do have a Max Prop and relatively new sails...On the other hand I have the Shoal Draft Keel and a Furling Main without battens.
Also the bottom is clean...Sounds like we are in the ball park!
