Our Passage 42 came with a 2 bladed, very efficent prop. Motored from KeyWest to Bermuda on less than one tank averaging 6.5 knots at 1800rpm. (no wind and oilly-calm)
Later, when slipped for maintenance, the yard removed the prop, said it was cracked and installed a 3 bladed one.. naturally, they were unable to locate the prop they removed, when I asked for it!
The 3 bladed one used a tank of fuel going around Bermuda, no thrust at all.
6 years later the yard says they found my prop.... but it doesn't have the same performance.. so am inclined to think it can't be the same prop.
PLEASE: Does anyone have any documentation referring to the standard prop size? (the yacht was built about 1993)
