Passage 42 masthead or B&R fractional rigged

Maybe a dumb question but......I'm looking at buying a Passage 42. Most of what I think I know says it is a conventional masthead sloop rig. However at times I've read articles where the B&R rig is refered on a Passage 42. Simple question; did Hunter change the rig to B&R in a later production year or is the reference actually a 420 and just not identified as such?

We have a '90 P42 which is a masthead rig. It is my understanding that the change to a fractional rig came with the P 420.Steves/v Breath of Heaven
