I have been having some exhaust leakage problems (possible cracked exhaust elbow) after an engine bang and stoppage. Engine restarted and continues to operate but found some small pieces under the engine afterwards (see attached photo). I am not sure if these pieces are related to this, but cannot identify where they came from. Anybody familiar with them?

I know. The middle item is the battery out of my hearing aid which I lost back in '04. Maybe it was '05. Things have never been the same ever since.
First timer, so maybe you're right. Good test though. Let's see who gets the other two items.
None of it is Yanmar gray so my guess is it’s not related to the engine. Maybe some kind of odds and ends from a lazarette or something that bounced down into the pan?
Engines don’t usually bang and stop so I’d be looking it over closely for the root cause there before it repeats itself, possibly more spectacularly.

Sundry bits and bobs that should be tossed out if you ask me.

Sorry. It was not a test and I can understand the humorous side of it. However, I was afraid that I had blown out a frost plug or pressure relief device and could not find any reference to any such devices in my Yanmar manual. I did not know if it was a common occurence.
Throw them out and you will soon after realize what they were.
