Forum friends,

My Marina opens up in a couple weeks, and I'm anxious to get flying again. As a last parting shot I wanna know if music brings it all together for the majority of you?

It does for me. This song, attached, is what it's all about, and actually helps me motivate crew for a weekend or longer. What do you think? What's your favorite backgound tunes cranked up on the boat? Favorite song/music?

You all know I'll only be back for help if the boat sinks. I am a Captain, earned, appointed, suggested, assumed, or otherwise. Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island is my favorite, I've ordered Gray ports, Butyl tape, and fenders from SBO. Boat Babe is an anomaly that I like. I get to call three major contributors Jackdaw "Slam" and Kermit "Froggy", without backlash. 25YearsLater has become a face to face new best friend. My sailing life is at peace. This song goes out to all on this forum.

There are plenty of laid back sailing songs which I love. e.g. Jimmy Buffet, Beach Boys. Cat Stevens and on. The Summer Sailstice site has several. This music from the soundtrack gets me most excited to get back on the water soon!

I am just down the road in Endicott. I slip my boat in Watkins Glen. I had a C22 at Treman Marina for a couple years. I will be launching my friend's O'day 26 in Ithaca in a few more weeks.
As far as music, I play guitar and singing lead for a classic rock band. However, my favorites are more folk, blues, and soul.
If you get to Watkins Glen, stop by 326 in the Village Marina.
I am anxious to launch this year. I installed wheel steering, replaced my teak, am installing new wiring and hull carpet, and made new plexi swinging companionway hatches as well as new skylight and forward hatch. My boat is gonna feel great this year!

Bon Voyage!

Good Morning, Wayner!
In the past Eileen drove me nearly crazy with smooth jazz CDs. I have no real argument with smooth jazz, but 7 CDs is going overboard. (Should have thought of that years ago!) After some persuasion we have spent a lot of timed listening to NPR stations and their classical music. However, listening to the water swish past the hull is fine with me too. Eileen and I even talk to each other while sailing.

BTW: Headed to Seneca Lake Wed, Thurs, Fri. Checking out marinas on the upper ends of Keuka, Seneca, and Cayuga. We are considering hauling the Caliber to Seneca in early fall since slip in Chesapeake City is already paid for the season.
