Most streets in neighborhoods have permit parking only. If you want to be near downtown where the bulk of the action is, your best bet is to pay to park. Since it's boat show weekend, the local police force will be aiming to meet their parking ticket goal for the month in one weekend, so make sure to look at any signs wherever you park....no free, street parking options anywhere, if I get there really early? It's not just the price, I don't like the feeling of being in a cattle drive.
I may go the Newport boat show this weekend. Tickets are $18 each, parking is $15!!! Anyone with local knowledge for parking and breakfast, if I get there way early, and have breakfast before the show?
Thanks!
if you know where to look, you can find on-street free parking but not close to the boat show. Anywhere up the hill toward Bellevue, on Bellevue or the supermarket parking lot on the corner are a short walk. If you want flat, downtown past the movie theater also a short walk....no free, street parking options anywhere, if I get there really early?
