Found out that the solenoid switch to the Stove etc is and stays shut panel switch on and the switch next to the stove on , so I guess it means a faulty switch , is this a common problem?

Not sure what type it is , perhaps some fellow Hunter owners can help me out , so I can replace this bit.

Try to figure out what brand etc, I guess a Parker and that's where it ends.
The photo I took is what it is.

The switch at arms length from the stove turns the solenoid valve ON and OFF. The breaker panel switch provides power and safeguards the circuit against electrical shorts. Propane solenoid valves are designed to default to OFF in case of failure to stop the flow of gas. A faulty solenoid will heat up and get quite warm but before replacing, the voltage to the unit should be verified to rule out connections and wiring failures.

Would not know where to direct you in Autralia but would imagine any marine chandlery would carry them. If the solenoid is located between the tank and the pressure regulator it would be a high pressure unit but if located between the regulator and the stove it would be a low pressure unit. The ports for the nipple fittings usually come in two sizes 3/8" and 1/4". If you can take the existing part to your chandlery I'm sure they could match it if not figure what you have and ask for a propane solenoid valve for high or low pressure with a 3/8" or 1/4" port. I'm assuming your boat is wired for 12V.

Very common replaced 3 in 10 years on current boat. Just go to the local marine store and buy another. Over Priced! You may want to see about some way to get better ventilation to it location maybe cracking open hatch some so it gets more fresh air to it to help keep it cool. They can get pretty warm. And mine is right next to and up against my tank. Came that way from factory.
