As long as the L/S is installed, operated and maintained according to directions. You shouldn't need any additional hardware, although you might want to consider adding the optional sensor that recognizes incoming waste after a few pumps and automatically starts the L/S. Without it, the L/S has to be started separately after flushing, something guests may not remember to do...and could result in a clog.As for flushing, the max amount that should go into the L/S at a time is 1 gallon...which, as long as it's within the recommended 6' of the toilet, is just about the amount that should go into it in the amount of time 99% of people will spend flushing. If that turns out to be too much, use the dry mode more. There's no minimum amount that can go into the L/S, only a maximum because too much at time will send untreated waste overboard.
