Has anyone found a digital replacement for the analog panel voltmeter, the one which has the red yellow green colors. I am looking to replace it with a digital one which would fit in that cutout.
I didn't see any digital voltmeters there, but a Google search could do you a world of help.
Alternatively, why do need a digital meter in the cockpit? The voltage drop to the cockpit panel is pretty huge. All we ever use it for is to check the glow plugs and starter haven't stayed on.
You could just get a Victron 602 or the new Balmar (Mainesail says it is better) one that monitors amps in and out of the battery. Just the voltage readout does not give you much of an idea of battery state.
wema makes a digital volt meter that fits in a 2" hole i have one in my boat i like the dig readout a lot better than the analog but i will be putting in a balmar later on in addition to the wema
