panda problem, but better result
on a cruise to the keys last year i had a similar problem with my 4.2 kw quitting and refusing to start...i had a better experience, thankfully...panda shipped in a new fuel injection pump and a new fuel solenoid switch, and paid for a mechanic to install although the diesel was out of warranty...i have a 2000kw heart inverter/charger and haven't had any problem with that unit interfacing with my genset... your problems sound horrible, and i'm sorry for your frustrations...i think gensets in general cause a great deal of frustration to cruisers...
