Hey SBO sailors....

Is anyone planning to be in the Pamlico or Albemarle sounds during the third or fourth week of June or the first week of July?

It would be great to bump into other SBO sailors while ghunkholling in the area.

I hope to launch sometime around the 13th or 15th of June and spend a week to ten days bumping around the area. I'm still trying to decide if I want to start at Edenton and work my west then south, or start someplace south and work my way north and east. Or maybe I'll find some hole that I really like and just stay there for a week....:hook2:

Fair winds,

Thanks for that link Ron. I'll give it a good read.

I have done all but the Manteo leg of that loop. Been there by car but not by boat. Two of my children and my father will be joining me again this year. My father will be 77 soon and still has a lot of energy but I can't help but wonder how much longer that can last. So long as he can take a 20 min nap around 2:30 each day, he hangs with the kids and seems just as energetic as any 20 year old. He really wants to go to Manteo...so we will probably do that...there is a lot to do on Manteo so we can spend a few days there.... but I would also be just as happy to go back to Ocracoke.

If you want a hole to hang on a hook then Okracoke is the place to be. Otherwise little Washington is a good spot where you can anchor and also have some shore activities. You can't really go west from Edenton then south. West takes you up the Chowan river and north.
