I am going to paint my deck this summer and was thinking of using a two part polyurethane paint but they say not to use it over a one part enamel paint ...Mine has been painted before by PO and I do not know what he used ...How do I tell if it is one part This is for the smoot finish as I have already decided on KIWI grip

I was in the same boat as you and was not sure what the previous PO used. So I took the safe route and used a single part paint; Interlux Brightside.

I've since learned the previous PO use a 2 part epoxy, but I don't regret using the one part.
