I am getting a few chips in the gelcoat of my boat and as well the original paint is getting pretty faded. If I wanted to paint the deck area and the cockpit what paint and method would you suggest? Can I use an anti slip finish, must it be an epoxy type paint? thanks

You might want to check out the poly porch and deck enamel made by Glidden. It is supposed to be every bit as good as the yacht paints, but at about 1/4 the cost. I have not tried it personally. Home Depot has some non skid beads that I know work well. And again, much cheaper than the boat brands.
