So time has come to refinish the outer aluminum frames on the window of my C22. I have them all removed so that they may be re-set into the cabin, but would like to take the opportunity to paint them white (or seal the now sanded clean aluminum). I remember that Rustoleum had a special wash primer for aluminum. What have other sailors used successfully?

Clarification: The frames are still holding the glass and the weatherstripping material against the glass so I believe I'm best brushing or masking and spraying. Interlux Epoxy Primecoat has been suggested. I already have some so I'll probably go with that and then top with Perfection 2-part epoxy white top coat.
